2.0 Available Docs
Agents should start with agent_help(topic="agent_guide"). REST API documentation remains available for developers and for detailed contract checks.
2.1 MCP
The public MCP surface is mounted at /mcp and exposes selected public data capabilities through tools, including documentation help through agent_help.
2.2 Agent Guide
The MCP agent guide provides shared safeguards and routes agents to output guidelines and focused methodology. The output guidelines govern financial research writing; methodology pages explain tool selection and safe usage for larger tool areas.
2.3 API v1
API v1 covers REST authentication, rate limits, endpoint request contracts, response behavior, and generated HTTP examples.
2.4 Examples
Examples are practical workflow walkthroughs. They may show REST request bodies because the screener backend contract is shared, but MCP agents should still prefer MCP tools when calling DFin.
3.0 Formats
Canonical docs pages are HTML. Markdown alternates provide the same public facts for agents and automated readers and are kept out of search indexing.
